Komal Samrow

Program Assistant

Komal Samrow is the Program Assistant at the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice.
Komal graduated cum laude from Georgetown University with a bachelor’s degree in Culture and Politics, a minor in International Development and a certificate in South Asian Studies.
Komal brings a diverse background in advocacy, development and social equity shaped by her work across government, nonprofits, and international organizations. She has held roles at the U.S. Government Accountability Office, UNICEF, USAID, and the League of Women Voters of Massachusetts, where she supported research, humanitarian response and digital communications on issues ranging from youth protection to democratic access.
At Georgetown, she served as President of the Sikh Student Association, leading cultural awareness and interfaith dialogue initiatives aimed at building inclusive community spaces. Komal is deeply passionate about advancing racial and social justice through policy, research and community-centered storytelling.
