The Selma-Dallas County NAACP chapter will host its Annual Freedom Fund Banquet Award on Aug. 5 at Selma University.
Ryan P. Haygood, CEO of the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice, will be the speaker.
The theme of the event is “Where Do We Go From Here: From Equality to Equity” and celebrates the 58th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
The banquet will be held at 7 p.m. at the Jemison-Owens Auditorium of Selma University at 1501 Boynton Street.
