Dameon Marquese Stackhouse

Justice Fellow

Dameon Marquese Stackhouse is a Justice Fellow in the Democracy Justice Program at the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice.

Dameon Marquese Stackhouse earned his B.S. and Master of Social Work at Rutgers University in New Brunswick. He is involved with various organizations that help impact the lives of our community. He is currently the Community Police Alliance Supervisor of Somerset County, where he responds to mental health crisis and works with residents to help provide access to resources. He also receives, analyzes, acts upon, and follows-up on referrals provided by participating law enforcement agencies.

Dameon has always been a listener and sought to give others the counseling and guidance that a strong community relies upon. He is a member of multiple advisory boards and committees, including Governor Murphy’s Community Crisis Response Advisory Council.

At heart, Dameon is a youth advocate. He believes that when we change the trajectory of our kids’ lives, it changes the trajectory of the community. Dameon is an activist for social justice.
