Maggie Kormann is the Program Associate at the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice.
Maggie Kormann is a New Jersey native and magna cum laude graduate of Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and psychology with a minor in Public Policy Analysis. Previously, Maggie was a Racial Justice Policy and Research Analyst for City of Boston’s Equity and Inclusion Cabinet and worked to staff Boston’s Reparations Task Force.
Maggie’s background is in racial and social justice, comprised of researching for British-based civic engagement NGO Operation Black Vote, advocating for the mental health of People of Color with nonprofit Black Boston, and organizing on the electoral campaigns of Attorney General Andrea Campbell, Senator Ed Markey, and Eli Savit. Maggie has a deep passion for the advocacy of equity for all, with a special interest in the civil rights of incarcerated people.
